I am SO EXCITED to announce the release of my new single, “Rocketship”!
STREAM OR DOWNLOAD IT HERE:
Live performance here:
Rocketship is an anti-love pop rock anthem about how love alone is never enough to make a relationship work. I’ve had to learn and re-learn this lesson a total of maybe 173618754763 bazillion times and I finally wrote it all out in a song so maybe I’ll stop making the same mistakes! I think I’ve finally got it now at the ripe old age of 35. I hope that by sharing this song I can save you guys some heartbreak, and that you can learn vicariously through me instead.
I released this song on my birthday and it would mean the world to me if you can take a listen and download or stream it and let me know what you think about the song in the comments below!
Huge thank you to Aaron Wright for producing this song for me as a passion project back in 2019 when I was taking pre-requisites for nursing school and very much broke. Aaron generously poured hours and hours into perfecting this track with me, played guitar and drums on the whole song, added cool riffs and beats (listen at 2:37!) and elevated it from a simple acoustic guitar song to a rocking pop anthem. This is actually my FIRST single (I released one last year but it was recorded in 2021, whereas this one was made in 2019) so there was a lot of trial and error and Aaron patiently helped me through all of it, letting me do a million takes on vocals and editing with me late into the night after work. Thank you so much!
Big thank you also to Eric Watkins for producing and being right alongside us many a night with your feedback and awesome beats and rendering and mastering and awesome ideas.
I had the best time making music with you both!
Also shoutout to Camillo Longo for creating this stellar artwork (love the colors, design & astronaut suit!) and being so chill to work with and collaborating and understanding my vision, and Brian Parillo for taking my headshots!
Purchase it on iTunes & Google music and hear it on all streaming channels starting October 15: https://sarahho.hearnow.com/
Huge thank you to Sam Cook-Stuntz, who produced and mixed this song and made me sound the most amazing I have ever sounded! He also plays keys on the track 🙂 Sam is the best of the best in every way – skill, work ethic, kindness – highly recommend him to anyone looking to make their first single!
Start watching at 16:16 😉
How many days of quarantine has it been? Let’s count!
It’s been a really difficult year, but I hope this video parody of “1234” by Feist can bring a little bit of cheer to people during this challenging time.
I made this music collage with the help of my friends from the different parts of my life and all walks of life (nursing, acting, college acapella group @youthphonics, and violin teaching) and I am really proud of how it turned out! Everyone was so creative, joyful, and talented. I’m really grateful to have so many beautiful people in my life who enrich it and make it so colorful. And I’m really proud of what we made together.
Big thank you to Dave Marandola who edited this fabulous video together and Sam Cook-Stuntz who mixed and mastered the sound. You guys did the real heavy lifting, and I am so grateful for this dream team!
Please share and subscribe if you liked it, and spread the cheer!
